[contrib #405] Use of XML in bugtracker is confusing |
code |
The bugtracker implies that XML is used in all fields of a contribution, whereas it only seems to apply in the "what happened" and "what expected" fields.
This is confusing.
Is XML really useful or necessary in the bugtracker? It makes submitting an XML-related bug in Scala particularly confusing! Also, pasted output (such as stack traces) displays badly when formatted as HTML.
|
what happened |
Typing "&" or "<" into the 'code' field causes "&" or "<" to appear in the submiss\
ion.
|
what expected |
"&" or "<" to appear in the submission.
Preferably, XML should not be used at all. Submissions should be in plain text, and displayed within <pre> tags. |
